Among Dark Angels

A Vision

Tall dark angels rose like majestic trees from the charred ground around me. The dirt drizzling from them and dispersing away towards the far horizon by the motionless winds. There's white noise in the air, like in an old newspaper cutting. The slender figures are holding their smooth black wings that have been ripped off by their own strong hands. The black feathers are gently lifting and flickering above me, as I lie on the ground immobilized. While their expressionless faces glare at me, the angels strike their wings against each other in a powerful blow and overcast the sky with a metallic aftertaste.

And the world turned black and white.
